Ok I dont know if the guy in the maroon robe is a monk or not He's my dad's old friend. My parents' trip to Nepal was lead by him, John Fam. So they came & we get blessing  . Wanna hear how the Tibetan chant sounds like?! dunno how to upload video clips here..

check out this chinese temple around the neighbourhood on this really hot day.. I enjoy cycling to the wide compound here.. went to the Taiping lake later on this hot day..

~ CNY in Taiping ~

Going to Taiping during CNY is a yearly affair... the best thing about this trip not the angpow nor the food... but is the riding of the bicycle, holding my camera in one hand ok.. i still havent mastered the handfree skill of cycling.. really wish I'd know how.. 
Celebrate CNY in Taiping will always have the 'atmosphere' compared to my home in PJ.. alot of traffic on the road, couldn't really drive any faster..
My parents enjoy visiting temples to pray..

2nd day had to visit my really sick granduncle... anyone reading this, please radiate some Metta to my Ku-kong. He's warded for monitoring since 3 Feb. He's surviving on painkillers for pain relief now. 
Saw my 2 distant cousins from England.. the doctor is engaged and the lawyer trainee is as bubbly as ever.
A visit to my Penang aunty is very 'scary' if you look at the size of Mambo the rottwailer  but actually Bobo is more fierce than the big Mambo! Bobo grrrrrrr at Mambo and barked so loudly at Mambo who only wanted to make friend with all of us! Forgot to take the pix of how Mambo sprawl its whole body onto my mom! Eeee.... even my bro ther is afraid of going near Mambo with sharp teeth!

.. ok it's the dog year.. my dad is happy cos he's a dog.. and my bro is also a dog.. and bobo the pampered is also the new addition to the family which is very much a dog.. my cousin living with us is also a dog..
this year the 'theme' for our open house was 'cheongsam'.. ok i dunno how to realy call it. but all 4 of us mom dad me and my bro dressed up in very chinese-oriental attire! I bought mine and my mom's blouse from HK while my bro bought his and dad's very-hot-kung-fu shirt from Kuantan.
Pardon me for putting up quite blur pix (no thanks to setting low-res in my only 16MB left)  also I no thanks to my bro who enjoy posing for camera!

can you believe that I was a waitress for the night?! nothing to shout out.. but I was also busy taking pictures, and admiring the reporters' huge SLR eh.. did I tell u I connected with the chinese nuns more than anyone else during that night.. helped rev sing kan with her video cam, took picture for salak south sifu who requested that i develope the picture for her... oh and i pour tea for bgf members too!!

u know what.. i really like this place... though very unlike the usual hong kong lifestyle...there's foreigners everywhere, feels like in Venice + Pulau Pangkor.. the scene of the many yatch parked at the bay looks like Monte Carlo?! its a great place to kick back, relax and chill... too bad I cudn't afford the fine-dining at the beachside cafe.. end up eating 'noodles' again at a CharChanTeng at a corner within the Kek-Lok-Si feel of Stanley Market!
personally, i enjoy taking pictures here the most.. the glitters of the sea water was just too inviting... I cud have lepak the whole day here.. the weather was warm, breezy and not too hot.. no sweat.. ahh...
