~ Venezuelan Charity Gala Dinner @ Prince Hotel ~

...wow.. first time using my Canon EOS400D for this gala event, which was very out of the ordinary.. havent attended something like this before! The foreigners really love to dance!  I'm not sure they're dancing salsa or rhumba or whatever.. just very latin...
...so how did I find the camera? *pheww.. first up.. i found many of the pictures blury or not steady... oh no IS!!  aiyo.. must have very steady hands la.. and well tripod would help me?! brrr..
...big important lesson learnt about shooting people close up, is I gotta open my mouth! "huh, hello can I take a picture of you?  u know foto?" "foto? u want take foto me?" "si si.. take foto u!"

~ Trip to Pulau Perhentian in Terengganu ~ Day 1

So we boarded the AirAsia to KT... which is the wrong airport cos its about 1 hour drive to Kuala Besut jetty!  If you're smart(er), buy air tix to Kota Bharu instead!
Anyway, it was really like paradise when we finally reached TunaBay Resort at Perhentian Besar island. In my mind I thought Perhentian Kecil is really much more isolated and smaller.. but its just right opposite where our resort is, Lee Leng was considering if she could swim across the 'sea' to reach the other island!  Well, we both agreed only without the boats speeding across, that it is possible!
On the night of 14May, its actually Ying Ying's bday! Well, no party nor cake.. so we made a fool of ourselves in the comfort of one of the room. I tell you, the rooms were really comfy and nice! Ahh.. did I mention to you about the stars at the night sky? There was this super sparkling BIG bright star, Tym say its a satellite, I say its a plane (but the plane never move..), Lee Leng say its another planet?! Well, I didn't stay up long (lucky) enough to see any shooting star.. 
The best thing about this TunaBay resort is really the food, which was commendable. We ate so much, inspite of me reminding myself that I'm here to SWIM (to exercise).. yes the 4 hours of swimming each day, gone to waste, with the amount of food fed to my stomach tantamount for a feast!

Compare the 1st 2 pictures both shots taken with the same camera, probably with diff setting (don't remember what mode I set ) and you can see 'beings' -- in circles in the sky -- with the 2nd photo!
I used to think that its due to dust on my camera lense, but, its weird, sometimes these cirles are captured into the picture, sometimes its not, though I do not usually clean my lense.  They say it's deva, unseen beings. Cool, if that's the case, they joined in for the Wesak procession too!

What again?! But its really a nice place... just we've not had the chance to dip ourselves in the pool! It was raining on the 1st day of PCIC ahh.... but still the weather didnt turn up 'cooling' at a hilly resort!
Then alot of thinking and thinking for the programmers and people up there... *shall refrain from revealing too much*
MJ learn a new term aside from using SS *syiok sendiri*, there's this 7+1... or 4+4 or 9-1...

~ Ching Ming Jie for our family ~

So the chosen day was Saturday. It's cool my Ipoh granduncle's son and his whole family joined us for the first time! Before Ipoh granduncle passed away, lau-chek and son usually join us for Ching Ming.
First grave belongs to my great grandparents, we arrived there so early in the morning but we saw other people already doing their prayer in the middle of the dark! Like why?!? Thrilling isit.. As if the snails and insects and creatures around are not distracting enough..
Second grave, as a yearly routine, visit to great-great-grandmother tomb with no picture.
Third grave, my own grandparents yay I've only met my grandma until she passed away when I was 6 yo.
Hmm.. wonder if myee can recognize the scene in the cheras cemetary!
